Chemo
I'll start with the chemo on 02-04-'02
So the day after the second easterday.
I wish you all a Happy Easter.
Today on 29-03-'02 they gave me a book into the hospital
how the chemo will works and what to do.
The day that I must begin with the chemo will be a day later
because of easter.
So now I'll start on 03-04-'02
Later on you'll hear some more of it.
Wednesday 3 april '02
The 1th day of the 1th chemo is done, now I must have
tomorrow and the day after tomorrow be back for made my 1th chemo comletly.
We just are back home it took 2 hours to get it.
I still are feeling fine but it can change in the evening or in the night.
I have a big change to be very ill later on the day.
Thursday 4 april '02.
The first night is done and I wasn't ill.
Till now it's all going well and I have eaten
a sandwich with an egg and I still are feling well.
I'ven't much time because I've to go to the Verbeteninstituut.
I'm back and I'm feeling a little light into my head.
Friday 5 april '02.
The thirt day of my first chemo is done.
Today a have to thro up, but it was little.
Now I've my second chemo about three weeks.
I was very sick and have to throw up twice and I'm still ill.
I hope that when I go to sleep I can sleep and not have to
throw up again.
The whole evening I lay done on the bench somethingelse I couldn't do.
Saturday 6 april '02.
Today it's a littlebit better than yesterday.
It like's sometimes that I have to throw up and
it still feels light into my head and my tummy isn't feeling well.
It can be better but I'm glad that I haven't to throw up whole day.
My food isn't tasting anymore and iff I have eaten than I
must trow up again.
I hope that tomorrow will give me a better day.
Sunday 7 april '02
Today I wasn't miserable.
My head and stummy are also feeling well and
I can eat again.
The food is tasting me, so I've eaten a steak.
I didn't trow up after my dinner.
I hope that I can eat till my next chemo,
because when I'm starting with my second chemo
I know that I'll be miserable again.
Tuesday 9 april '02.
Today I've cut my hair and I still can eat without throwing up.
So today it's going fine with me.
I'll have to thank everyone for all the lovely greatings
and all the awards and hugs you all givven me.
It's making me proud and it's doing me very good that
you're supporting me.
Thursday 11 april '02.
This morning they came to get some blood of me.
Next week I know the results.
Friday 12 april '02.
I was the whole night awake because I was coughing.
It wouldn't stop and I was coughing the lungs out of my body.
Today I didn't do so much, I was chatting with my youngest
daughter Esther and I did have some guests.
When I'm alone than my daughter Esther
can hear me by pc so she can always watch over me.
Also I'm very quickly tired and have to take a nap between.
Today I also did walk with my dog outside and I did
help my wife with the garden a little bit.
The food I take is still tasting and I still haven't to throw up.
It's going well.
When I've to tell you some more, I'll write it done.
Oh Oh, I was very ill and all the food was comming out of me.
I'm increasingly coughing.
Saturday 13 april '02.
I had a good sleep and haven't coughing that much.
I only lost my voice and cann't speak.
I hope it's over soon because it isn't fun not to speak.
We just waite and see.
Sunday 14 april '02.
My voice is compleet gone.
Also I'm very cramped.
My oldest daughter Anita was here with her man Paul and child Stan.
We did have a nice day even I couldn't speak.
Monday 15 april '02.
I, Esther, don't have a nice thing to say, because my father
was this night going to the hospital by ambulance.
He couldn't speak anymore and he was very cramped.
He has to stay for 2 weeks and maby till the second chemo is done.
If there's a changing with my daddy I (Esther) will tell you about it.
I only can say now that my daddy is very very ill
and it's hurting us deeply into our harts.
Tuesday 16 april '02.
My mum cald this morning the hospital and they told her that
my dad didn't sleep whole night.
He still has a fever but he didn't have to throw up.
This afternoon I hope that I can tell you some more about my
dad because then we see him into the hospital.
We're home again and our daddy is going better now,
only he cann't eat.
Anita talked today with an internist from Eindhoven,
he told her that it's going fine with our daddy
and that his reaction is good at the chemo.
Tomorrow I'll go to my daddy and I'll print his guestbook
so he can read into the hospital what you all wrote to him.
Till tomorrow people and thanks again for all
the support and love you all give us.
Wednesday 17 April '02.
Hello all, I (Esther) came just from the hospital
were my daddy is.
He cann't talk and cann't eat, and iff he try to eat a little
he has to throw up, he still has a high fever.
He's very ill and has less air,
he's also very tired and cann't walk.
He only drinks some water other things he cann't drink.
His hair is now falling out, I just took a lot of hair
from my daddy's head.
I has to thank everyone for all the kind words into his guestbook.
I'm just back again from my daddy and it's still not going well.
He has less air.
Niek and I are Friday going back to my daddy and my sister
will be this weekend with her family by our mother so she isn't long
alone because she also have it very difficult.
Tonight he would take a sleepingpil into the hope he maby can sleep a little
because he still hasn't sleep and eat for 3 days
he only has drink some water.
Thursday 18 April '02.
Hello Esther and Niek, our daddy has sleep well tonight and
he's feeling a little better and the fever is now falling down.
When I come back later from the hospital I hope that
I can tell some more, till later, mama -xxx-
Our Mum did let me now that his fever is back again.
In the morning he was feeling a little better
but in the afternoon it was going wrong again.
He did eat something and didn't throw up.
His head is very painfull and he's very very sick.
We ( Niek and Essie ) are tomorrow going to my daddy, I'll
tell him all the support you gave him
and when I'm home I'll write it all down.
Friday 19 April '02.
We were by our daddy and he did eat something again.
The food was staying into him.
The dokters are stopped with the antibiotica because
you only may take that for a few days.
His voice was a little back so he could talk a little.
Saterday 20 April '02.
Anita and Paul and our Stan are by our mum and
daddy and they had good news.
The fever is compleet gone.
He also had eat some more.
Our daddy was feeling a little better he has more air.
Sunday 21 April '02.
It's going better and better, still no fever
and he can eat again.
Monday 22 April '02.
It's going better with our daddy he eats and drinks more.
He also can walk again even it's only 20 meters
and his bloodpressior was also fine.
He thinks now that he can do everything because he's feeling well now
only he cann't do everything.
Next wednesday he start with his second chemo
it takes 3 days (till friday) and
than he may go home.
But when he gets a fever again than he must
back into the hospital.
Tuesday 23 April '02.
Today we heard that the echo from his lever was good.
We all are happy with this good news.
Today he was sitting for 30 minutes outside the hospital.
I had to thank Hetty and Danny and Christa
and he hope's tha he can do that by himself next week when he's home.
Also I had to thank Anne for the beuatiful site
she speciaal made for my daddy.

This message I get today from my sister Anita.
Hello, here's Anita, everything was fine with our daddy
and he just did get his second chemo.
He did had a lot of talking and fun and he also drinks and eats good.
Greatings en kisses and till you hear some more.
Later on I did hear that out daddy may not friday out the hospital
but saterday.
Friday 26 April '02.
I (essie) am back again with my parents.
This morning he had his last infuus from his second chemo
and they told him that he could go home.
Now we're hoping that he wouldn't be so ill just like by his first chemo.
Saturday 27 April '02.
Our daddy did sleep well into his own bed.
He did eat good only he had a taste from his chemo
and that in't nice.
He still hasn't thrwo up.
he has a lot of air.
He's taking his rest because he's very tired.
Sunday 28 April '02.
He did eat very well even he has a taste from the chemo
and he still didn't throw up.
We had a nice day just like yesterday with soms visite.
Our daddy is home and he enjoy it to be home again near the pool
and with his dog Bobo and out mum.
Thursday 2 May '02.
Hello all, I wasn't at the site because my sever was down
But everything is going well with our daddy.
He has his taste back and still has more air.
Friday 3 May '02.
It still is going well,
so it's better than the first chemo.
He eats and drinks well.
When he can he's sitting behind his pc.
Monday 6 May '02.
He's has throwing up a little and is very tired.
He has still pain on his head and also from his back.
Wednesday 8 May '02.
Today our daddy is to the hospital for the scan
next monday we now what the scan has to tell us.
He's very very tired and did sleep on the sofa
because he coudn't going upstairs to bed.
Mum did sleep on the other sofa so he didn't sleep downstairs alone.
Thursday 9 May '02
Today it's going well.
My Mum and Dad were taking a visit
and later on he was doing something with his fishes.
The food taste a little better and he is using his pc again.
He is very tired and haven to rest often.
But we have a good sumer so he can sit outside
what he likes to do.
He only must watch out so he's not sitting into the sun.
That's because of the Chemo.

Our dad has drived a 130 km with his car
to be with me with my mum and he didi it well.
They arrived at 11.30 ours and left us at 19.30 ours.
We had a great day all together.

Today I (Essie)got a wonderful birtday gift.
My dad heard the news from the scan what they madee from him.
The chemo is working well and the lungcancer is less.
It was the biggest gif for my birtday what I could get.
We're all very happy with that news.
Tomorrow my dad wil begin with his 3th chemo.
Thuesday 14 May '02
Today he will start with his 3th chemo.
We hope it wil go like his second chemo but we have to wait and see.
We know that the cancer is less and that it works.
So we can think extra positive now.
My dad was playing some billjarts today with his friends
it was a long time that he could do that.
So he had some fun and won from his buddy's.
Tomorrow he will have the 2th infuse from his 3th chemo.

Our dad is very ill and tired, he still cann't eat
he still have to throwup like yesterday.
we hope that he will recouver soon
we know that this is from the chemo.

Today it's going a bit better.
He's very tired but he can eat again.
My dad is often behind his pc on the moment.
That's because he's so tired.
We just have to wait and see again how things are going.

He could't eat and was very tired and has to throwup.

Today it's going fine wit my dad.
He can eat again and he was going play soms billjatrs again

I dain't speak my parents but I know they have a nice day.
They're with my sister.
So Anita, Paul and Stan are now having a nice day together with my parents.
Thuesday 4 june my dad will begin with his 4th chemo.
Monday 3 june '02
My parents are home again from the trip to my sister.
Our dad was driving the car by himself.
Ons pap heeft er zelf heen gereden en ook weer terug.
He had fished with Stan and that was nice
because it was a long time ago that he could do that with his grandson.
They had a very nice weekend together.
Tomorrow he begins with his 4th chemo.
Thuesday 4 june '02
The 1th day of his 4th chemo is done.
He's doing fine only still very tired.

Sunday on 9 june my parents are 42 years married.
